February 2007 - n° 2
A Word from the President

We are proud that the Scientific Program of the 2nd International Congress of Biological Psychiatry, April 17-21, 2007 in Santiago de Chile is online at www.wfsbp2007.org. View all abstracts, compile your own personal congress program, and plan your attendance in detail! The well-balanced scientific sessions will give you updates on all advances in the field of neurosciences and psychiatry. You will meet colleagues from all around the globe and take home many inspirations for your studies and everyday clinical practice.

The 2nd International Congress of Biological Psychiatry has been accredited by the European Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) with 24 CME credits for the entire congress. The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS). EACCME credits are recognized Europe-wide and in North America. EACCME credits can be exchanged for their national equivalent by contacting you National CME authority.

In the year 2007 the WFSBP will further deepen the collaboration with its National Societies. In Santiago de Chile we will have the opportunity to share our thoughts and discuss future projects.

Thus, the WFSBP intends to provide web space to its National Societies and to use the official website as lively meeting point. As representative of a WFSBP National Society you are invited to create your platform to reach not only your members, but also scientists world-wide. Promote your events and increase your visibility. You are kindly asked to send us your logo together with a list of the board and if possible a link to your website. Further you may send us a photo of the president of your distinguished Society and/or a group photo of the board. We are open to your suggestions and comments. For more information please contact info@wfsbp.org

I look forward to receiving your valuable thoughts and suggestions!

Sincerely yours,

Siegfried Kasper, MD
WFSBP President
