Feature Forums
Authored by expert Ramesh K. Gupta, M.D. (Canberra Hospital, Canberra, Australia) this month’s WFSBP Feature Forum

“Is Major Depression a Medical Matter?”

is now live and open to receive your comment and contribution.

As you will read once you click on the Feature Forums banner below, this month’s Feature addresses the diagnostic importance of physical signs of major depression. The conversation that you are invited to join today by posting your opinion and thoughts directly in the Forums zone, surrounds one of the bases of biological psychiatry: the old, but recently newly stimulated discussion whether subjective experienced symptoms such as sadness of mood and tiredness are sufficient for a diagnosis of major depression or there must be some objective evidence for a serious medical illness.

Whether you agree or disagree, we invite you to share your views, expertise and experience with our community.

For those of you who are as of yet unfamiliar with the Feature Forums debate arena, why risk missing out? Please click directly on the banner above (or visit and bookmark our website www.wfsbp.org) and select the menu tab “About Feature Forums”, for further information. Our community looks forward to reading your contribution as a regular visitor to the WFSBP Feature Forums!
